1. Not a medical or crisis service

Build Your Way Out is a self-reflection and coding skill-building tool. It is not therapy, counseling, medical advice, or a crisis service, and using it does not create a therapist-patient or doctor-patient relationship. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care.

If you are in crisis or having thoughts of harming yourself, please contact emergency services, call or text 988 (in the U.S.), or reach out to a mental health professional immediately.

2. Who can use this app

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, we encourage you to use this app with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for any activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Your content

You own what you write in your reflections. By using the app, you give us a limited license to store and display that content back to you as part of providing the service. We don't use your reflection content for anything beyond that — we don't train models on it, sell it, or share it with advertisers.

You're responsible for what you write. Don't use the reflection tool to submit content that is illegal, abusive, or that infringes someone else's rights.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app's normal operation.
• Use the app for anything illegal or to harm others.

6. Termination

You can stop using Build Your Way Out and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Build Your Way Out is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shakyra Johnson is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
